SSVC's Picnic with Hikes and Retirement Honors

Place: Dundo Picnic Area, Shenandoah National Park
Join us for all or some of the following:

9:00 –Hike to Jones Falls, 4.5 miles, out/back, moderate. Hike leaves Dundo picnic area and heads south on the AT to the Jones Falls Trail. We will hike to view the falls and return the same route. Leader: Michael Seth (sethmj@jmu.edu).

12:00–Picnic/Retirement Honors
Join us for a picnic as we honor Dave Bowen upon his retirement as South District AT Manager. It will also be a great chance to enjoy time with other members of the club. We will provide hamburgers, hotdogs and veggies burgers. Please bring a dish to share. Contact Pam Heinrich to let her know for food count. (pamheinrich13@gmail.com or 540-290-5595).

2:00 (or as soon as picnic concludes)—Hike to Blackrock, 4 miles, out/back, easy/moderate. Leave Dundo picnic area, we will hike south on the AT to Blackrock, enjoy the views and return the same route. Leader: Mark Perschel (markperschel@gmail.com).
