Iva's Annual Soup Hike! Blue Ridge School Short Hike Followed By Lunch

It's time for Iva's Annual Soup hike! Join us for a short hike followed by lunch.

Due to the snow on all trails in our area, we haved moved this hike a few miles down Bacon Hollow Road, past Blue Ridge School. The hike will meet at the intersection of Bacon Hollow Road and Wyatt Mountain Road. We will take a 4 mile out and back hike along a gravel mountain road with a maximum 1000 feet of elevation gain and loss. The remote roads are free of snow and ice, but will be muddy in spots. Since this is an out and back, those who want less elevation can turn around when they like, working with the hike leaders.

Please bring water, a snack, and layers appropriate for the weather. Hiking poles can be helpful as there are small stream crossings throughout. Carpool if you can.

After the hike, those who would like to share a bowl of soup and conversation are welcome at Briarleigh Farm which is about 10 minutes away. I will provide soup, dessert and some drinks; supplement if you like.
