Prince William Forest -Pyrite Mine Loop Trail
Details
A moderately strenuous 11 Mile-900 ft elevation gain loop starting at Parking Lot near Pine Grove Picnic Area-Visitor Center. Will be exploring Historic Pyrite Mine area and some Piedmont Forest Ridges & Valleys. Prince William Forest is a NPS area that requires a Parking Pass. Hike will start at 9:00am from the Parking Lot. Restrooms are nearby.
(Our Route will be Laurel Loop Trail to South Valley Tr, to North Valley Tr, to Quantico Cascades Tr, to Mary Bird Tr, to High Meadows Tr, to South Valley Tr, and back to Laurel Loop Tr. See Photo below) There will also be planned shorter loop hike available at 10:00am (or by using the Turkey Run Ridge Tr for a shorter loop),
