Iva's Annual Soup Hike! Blue Ridge School Long Hike Followed By Lunch

It's time for Iva's Annual Soup hike! Join us for a hike followed by lunch.

Due to the snow on all trails in our area, we haved moved this hike a few miles down Bacon Hollow Road, past Blue Ridge School. The hike will meet at the intersection of Bacon Hollow Road and Wyatt Mountian Road. We will take a 5 1/2 mile hike along gravel mountain roads with 1100 feet of elevation gain and loss. The remote roads are free of snow and ice, but will be muddy in spots.

Please bring 2 liters of water, a snack, and layers appropriate for the weather. Hiking poles can be helpful for the climb if you like. Carpool if you can.

After the hike, those who would like to share a bowl of soup and conversation are welcome at Briarleigh Farm which is about 10 minutes away. I will provide soup, bread and some drinks; supplement if you like.
