Stone Mountain Summit Climb - Stone Mountain, NC

Join us for a summit climb of Stone Mountain, NC! This one day trip is for both new and experienced climbers. During the day we will cover the basic skills necessary to make a summit attempt on Stone Mountain. The mtn has over 600' of technical rock climbing!

Skills Covered:

• Basic climbing movement
• Figure 8 knot
• Lead belaying
• Rappelling
• Climbing in multi-pitch terrain
• Follow trad routes/removing trad gear

Prerequisites:

• None. Or, experience belaying, tying into a climbing rope, and rappelling.

Difficulty:

• Moderate

Whats Included:

• Climbing equipment (if needed)
• Instruction from an American Mountain Guides Association(AMGA) credentialed Instructor at a 3:1 ratio
• A Full day of climbing!

This trip will be canceled 48 hours prior if at least two participants are not registered and paid. If a cancelation occurs, you may book a day of private guiding at a 10% discount from our advertised prices or, be refunded your deposit. Please also note the BRMG cancelation policy before booking

Camping:
There is excellent car and tent camping within the park. A site can accommodate up to 6 people. Comment if you are interested in splitting a campsite.

Hotels:
The closest town with hotels is Elkin, NC. The town is a 25 minute drive from the park.
