Rusty secure communication on embedded devices

Wireless packet-based communication on embedded devices needs to be secure. The Awesome Rust Cryptography library list has crates for implementing both authenticated packet encryption and key management. I will survey these crates and discuss the key management Double Ratchet algorithm to protect decryption of past packets and self-healing compromised sessions. This talk will conclude with how post-quantum cryptography (PQC) algorithms fit in the embedded environment. Future talks will focus on specific crates.
