Agenda
• Presentation: "Part 2: Quantum Computers Can’t Rust-Proof This!"
As quantum computing matures, the need to update relevant systems relying on current public key cryptographic algorithms increases. Post-quantum cryptography (PQC) is designed to resist attacks by quantum computers. Among these PQC algorithms, key-encapsulation mechanisms (KEMs) serve a vital function of securing key exchange between parties. The Module-Lattice-Based KEM (ML-KEM) was recently released by NIST as part of a new standard for PQC.
The talk (Part 2) will focus on how to use the Rust ML-KEMs implementation (https://github.com/RustCrypto/KEMs/tree/master/ml-kem) in Rust and Python programs.
• Round the room--something to share?
The purpose of this meeting is to present a technical topic people can talk about and then provide an opportunity for people to share. The meeting is scheduled for an hour, but may end early.
