Chat group for intellectuals, literati, atheists and friends

Meet intellectuals, literati and atheists and engage in scintillating conversations about science, the humanities, literature, the social sciences, atheism, etc. The meetings have separate chat rooms based on discussion topics.

Please follow the MeetUp guidelines, be friendly and polite. We can have different opinions and lively discussions, even debates, but no hostile arguments.

You will need a free zoom account to join the meeting. All meetings are online.

The topics for discussion on May 11 are: Science and technology in the 21st century (especially the life sciences), quantum computing, and recent developments in quantum mechanics and astrophysics, including a new estimate of the age of the universe.

We will watch a few short YouTube videos about the subjects, and then discuss what we have learned. Besides listening to shared videos, if a subject is something you don't know much about, I encourage you to look things up and discuss what you find, or listen and ask questions. Feel free to suggest any topic you like.
