What we’re about
In order to combat the isolation of a tech-centered society, we've created a new and unique type of group to help foster deep and meaningful conversations that lead to better connections with others.
With roots in improv, teaching, and community care, Chats and Connections is a new type of meetup built to help participants practice social skills, foster friendships, and share ideas in an inclusive and gentle environment. This space is fertile ground for a unique type of networking: there is no alcohol, no music, no speakers... just humans learning to communicate and co-regulate. Ideal for students, visitors, stay-at-home parents, folks who work from home, and professionals who want to expand their social circle beyond work. We welcome anyone 18+ and are happy to make accomodations to include anyone who is interested in this work.
In an average workshop, expect to participate in exercises that teach eye contact, expressions, storytelling, and balanced communication.
