Hiking at Cloudland Canyon State Park

Hey everyone, let's hike the West Rim Trail at Cloudland Canyon State Park on Sunday. If you haven't been, it's a beautiful park that's less than 40 minutes from Chattanooga. It's a loop trail, but I'm thinking of just hiking it one way and back because the west part of the loop is not that pretty.

We'll meet at Publix at 3535 Broad St, Chattanooga, TN 37409 at 9 am and from there some of us can carpool (let's park at the back of the parking lot). I believe there's a $10 fee to get into the park, but that covers everyone in the car.

I plan to start our hike at the West Rim Access Parking, so you can meet us there around 10:00 am if you prefer to drive yourself. It looks like it might be chilly, so definitely dress in layers and bring a snack or lunch (there are some great spots on the trail for a break).
