Chattanooga-Cleveland Cancer Support Naturally Meetup

A safe space for connection, understanding, and natural support

Cancer has a way of making people feel alone—even when they’re surrounded by others. It can quietly change relationships, conversations, and the way we move through everyday life. This group was created from lived experience with advanced-stage cancer and the very real emotional weight that comes with it.

I lost my father to cancer, and just six months later, his brother—my uncle. In both cases, they kept their cancer private until it was too late to do much about it. Watching that happen changed me. It also made one thing very clear: no one should have to carry cancer in silence.

While my father was in the hospital, I learned something that still stays with me. Even though I knew what could help him, the doctor explained that another family member had medical directive control over his treatment. I had answers. I had experience. But I had no control.

In his final days, my father called me asking for help. I will never forget that feeling—knowing what might help, yet being unable to act. Twenty-four hours later, my father died.

That experience taught me something important. Support goes far beyond knowing what to do medically about the cancer alone. It includes the helplessness, the anger, the confusion, and sometimes even resentment or grief toward family members who made decisions without consultation. Cancer affects many relationships at once, and the emotions rarely arrive in a neat or polite order.

Support is needed before, during, and after—regardless of the positive outcome beating the cancer, or not.

Cancer Support Naturally Meetup exists because of that truth. It is a welcoming, respectful community for people who want support without pressure and conversation without judgment. The group is open to people living with cancer, including advanced stages, as well as caregivers, family members, close friends, survivors, and those who now find themselves supporting others.

We talk openly about natural and supportive approaches, emotional well-being, and the strain cancer can place on relationships. There is no agenda here and no expectation to follow a specific path. This group is not about replacing medical care. It is about having honest conversations around natural support options, sorting through overwhelming choices together, supporting relationships that cancer often tests, making space for emotions that don’t always have easy answers, and finding community instead of isolation.

We offer supportive, guided group conversations in a calm and safe setting, along with open discussion around natural support options. Once a month, we also host guided meditation sessions held in a unique environment intentionally designed to support natural oxygenation. Space for these sessions is limited.

You are welcome here if you are currently living with cancer, supporting someone you love, have lost someone to cancer, or have walked through cancer and now support others. Often, those with cancer become supporters, and those who support are changed in ways they never expected. Both experiences belong here.

Our values are simple and intentional: compassion over fear, listening instead of fixing, support without pressure, and community instead of isolation.

You are not alone. And you don’t have to hold all of this quietly.

Join us at Cancer Support Naturally Meetup, and be part of a thoughtful, caring space where real conversations about cancer—naturally—can happen safely.
