Hike from Signal Point Park to Rainbow Lake

Hey guys, I went and checked out the trail that goes between Signal Point and Rainbow Lake today, and it's lovely at the moment! However, this will be the most strenuous hike this group has done to date. Be aware that the hike is around six miles with plenty of hills. The terrain is rough and can be hard on the ankles/knees, and there are fallen trees over the path that will need to be climbed. All along the way, we'll have to dodge poison ivy. Finally, I don't recommend coming if you are afraid of heights.

For those of you who can handle all of that, this hike is going to be AWESOME! The views are incredible, the mountain laurel is just starting to bloom, the trilliums are out, I saw both pawpaw and giant magnolia today, and there are tons of other wildflowers in bloom.

We will park at Signal Point Park and make our way to the Rainbow Lake Trailhead, then loop back along the road. Please see "How to find us" for further instructions.
