Chattanooga Urban Discovery

Once a month, let’s meet up and work on things at the library. This first meeting should be a tutorial on any equipment you’re interested in at the library, from the CNC machine to the sewing machine. Hereafter, depending on what people are working on, we might switch it up and go to the Chattanooga Makerspace, a Repair Cafe, meet at a park in good weather, or at Velo Coffee shop.

You’re also welcome to bring your own materials to work away on, from knitting to drawing, woodworking designs to illustration on your own computer. If you can bring it and work on it, or use the equipment at the library, join us! Not just for the moms & ladies, ya’ll 😎

Kid friendly - but not kid-centric - as long as you, or your kids, can keep them occupied. Any kids must be accompanied by their adult at all times or be old enough (teenager) to be unsupervised. This is not a group babysitting by proxy event. No exceptions will be made, and if you take advantage of this, you will be asked to leave.

This is the second to last section of the Riverwalk. Park and meet at the Blue Goose Hollow Trailhead and walk 33 min to the Siskin Steel Southside Overlook, then walk back.

Well-behaved dogs welcome. Make sure you bring poop bags because I don't know if there are any stations along the route.

No agenda; come for chill chats or to lounge and read in good company, to browse and buy a book, or sample the coffee & tea. Bring a book, sketchbook, an audiobook - whatever you fancy, if you’d like, or just bring yourself.

Found a great not-new location for us to hang out. Both indoor and outdoor seating options, depending on the weather, better parking, and around 3 it should be not too busy!
