Mimosa boat (aka Food Fun and Games)

Alright y'all, I'm coming in hot for an official rebrand on this bitch. I've been hosting this event for over two years now and for most of that time have called this event "Mimosa Boat" when talking to friends because that's what it was dubbed long ago. I'm tired of trying to keep up with the names that people refer to this as, so I'm gonna simplify and let everyone in on Mimosa Boat. It's the same exact event it's been, just sharing the energy now.

I didn't drink for the longest time. (And am currently not partaking as well) Mimosa Boat isn't about drinking though. It's about letting loose and getting to know people over food, fun, and games. (Okay, I guess that name is still fitting too, but I'm sticking with Mimosa Boat 😈)

Alrighty, so anyone who's come before knows the drill already. We meet on the second floor of the barge that gets you onto the Southern Belle riverboat. When walking up, you can opt to go left, which ramp will get you to the elevators (but does involve a slightly longer walk), or go right, which ramp will lead you to the outdoor stairs closer to where we sit. The second floor is a Bar and Grille called Overboard. We will take over the long tables next to the pool tables that are at the far side from the bar/bathrooms/elevator. I will bring a bag of games with me, and encourage others to bring games to share with the group as well! The space offers ping pong, darts, shuffleboard, and other various games for free, as well as pool (paid by the hour) and I believe they still have a few arcade games.

Timing: I typically show before 1pm to make sure I'm the first there. The event is scheduled until 3pm, though many times it'll run later. This used to turn into a whole Sunday Funday sorta deal with a little bit of bar hopping and karaoke to top it off. It can evolve into whatever y'all want it to be, but the basics are 1-3pm. Come and go as you please 🥰

I ask that you try and make a purchase while there (food/drink) that way we can tip the bar as a thank you for them not charging us a rental to have a large group come in and use the space. Mimosas are $10 for a whole bottle of champagne (and you get your glasses and juice included in that price) and I believe they still run the 2 for 1 special on beer. 🤘 Feel free to check out the menu online for food. All orders are placed at the bar. They will bring food to the table.

✨️Parking✨️
Street parking is FREE all day on Sundays! If you cannot find a spot on the street, don't forget to pay for your parking in the lot. The lot across the street should use Park Mobile if you have the app and want to be able to renew your parking without leaving the building.

*"Boat" does not move. We are not touring the river on the Southern Belle. Motion sickness should be at a minimum, if at all since we stay docked on the river the whole time.
