About us
Come and meet new people and old friends as we play unique boardgames and card games. We love games of all kinds but tend to play strategy and euro style games the most. We always teach the games to any new players and there's always a new game available to discover!
You can bring one of your favorites or request a particular game you've been wanting to try be brought to the next meetup. Many of our members are users at boardgamegeek.com and have lists of all the games they own available to peruse.
We currently meet in meeting rooms at public libraries on the east side. Looking forward to seeing you soon at a gaming event!

🔮 Second Thursday SoulFood Jazz Jam
Soul Cafe Redmond, 15748 Redmond Way,, Redmond, WA, USThis is a cross post of the following event:
https://www.meetup.com/eastsidesocialclub/events/312212670
This is an awesome live music event with grade-A musicians playing for us for FREE. There should have a cover but they only ask for donations. If you play an instrument or sing, you're welcome to join in. I sing from time to time, myself. Welcome to just join and enjoy some great jazz at this casual all-ages gathering! This is a small-ish venue and I can only hold a limited number of seats, so arrive early. ~Claudette
NOTE: Check and use the Comments to connect with others before and during the event. I'm not able to attend every event so this is more of an FYI/Self-Hosted event. If you plan to attend, why not be the host? (I.e. be the person others look for.) Bring PURPLE Mardi Gras beads or an Eastside Social Club sign to put on the table to others in the group can find and sit with you, if you're the host or everyone if there isn't one.
The SoulFood Coffeehouse jazz jam is back! Looking to connect around appreciation of the great American art form? This is a casual all-ages gathering, open to the public. Join in on stage or just listen along.
Designed for enjoyment, no pressure. Everyone's welcome - developing and veteran players alike. It's a good opportunity for younger players looking to expand their combo and improv skills. Music Ed folks, please pass the word.
Bass lines and hosting provided by John Roth. Mic available for singers. There will typically be a quasi-set rhythm section to get things started.
Rules of the road for the 2nd and 4th Thursday jam:
This is an open format session. Players take turns onstage, alternating to share the fun. Depending upon turnout, rhythm section players (pianists, guitarists, etc.) need to take turns - one at a time unless specifically arranged, rotate every 2-3 tunes or whatever is appropriate to avoid overkill.
Thanks to SoulFood Coffeehouse and Makia for offering the comfy, intimate venue along with fine coffee, tea, refreshments and tasty treats (sandwiches, soups, sweets).
6pm to 8pm (closing).
Everyone's welcome.
