In-person meetup on Autonomous AI: from War to Cyber Defense
Details
Join us for an afternoon of Keynote, Tech Talks and demos on Autonomous AI at Hub8 MX in the centre of Cheltenham.
Arrive from 1200 for informal networking with lite sandwiches before talks start:
- 1300-1330 Keynote - Professor Anthony King (Exeter University) - AI, Automation and War - Will AI replace human commanders? In this talk, Anthony refutes any suggestion that war will be automated, but he explains the way AI is being harnessed by the armed forces to change the character of command and military operations
- 1330-1400 Tech Talk - Toby Lewis (Darktrace) - Autonomous Cyber Defense, Threats and Mitigations - Toby outlines the threats from offensive Autonomous AI Agents in Cyber Space and how AI can help to defend networks
- 1400-1430 Tech Talk - Dr Dan Martin (Camulos) - Be Careful Falling for Agent Hype - Dan looks at how to make Agent's behaviour explainable and hence how to decide when to and when not to use them
- 1430-1500 Tech Talk and Demo - Dr Richard Porter (Tulpa) - Agentic Assistance and Autonomy for Red Teaming - Richard illustrates the transition from using an Agent as an assistant to deploying it as an Autonomous Agent on a network
From 1500 we'll have drinks, networking and discussions, finishing by 1600
