Main focus will be looking out for lake/wetland specialists such as Little and Great White Egret, early spring migrant birds like Sand Martin and Chiffchaff and birds of prey such as Buzzard and Kestrel. Coate Water like all big nature areas has the potential to turn up something a bit rarer, a really good spot overall. Paths can be a bit muddy in places so you may want to bring walking boots, and if windy/cold can be quite exposed so bring a coat just in case. A decent pair of binoculars is a must, but please don't feel the need to break the bank🤣. There is a small cafe but I would recommend bringing your own food and drink, as it's not open every day of the week! Easily accessible by both bus and car if needs be, meeting point will be next to the cafe as you walk to the lake. Any questions please don't hesitate to ask😁
