11:00 AM – 11:45 AM - Session 1: The Pros and Cons of Architecting Microservices on AWS

Description: Along with Pros and Cons of Architecting Microservices on AWS, this topic will also cover automated deployment, inter process communication using SQS, ECS, cost reductions using spot instances, ELB and Autoscaling groups.

• If time permits, this session will also cover a special design for synchronous communication with hidden network devices using SQS.

Presenter: Sudhir Jonathan from Real Image.

Sudhir works as a consultant to Real Image, on the teams that build Moviebuff.com and Justickets.in. His history includes ThoughtWorks, Own Startup and a few personal projects. He is an avid coder and specialities includes Ruby on Rails, Go, React, AWS and Heroku and a few.

Description: In the world of cloud “Speed is Everything”. To identify various security, compliance, risk and vulnerability drifts instantly on our customer environment, 8KMiles cloud operations team runs ~600 million jobs every month. We are going to share our experience for running distributed and fault tolerant scheduler stack and how it is evolving

Presenters: Mohan S and Saravanan Balakrishnan from 8KMiles

Mohan has 10+ Years of experience in large scale systems architecture, development and implementation. He is currently leads a Cloud infrastructure automation product in AWS and Big data Technologies.

Saravanan has 5+ years of experience in design and development of large scale distributed applications. He is currently engaged in an infrastructure automation project on AWS. His interests includes learning new algorithms and data structures. Madly in love with Football!!!
