    💡 Speaker:
Gokul P S, Advisory Solutions Engineer, Confluent

    Talk:
Harnessing Kafka: Building Robust Real-Time Data Pipelines

    Abstract:
This session introduces the core ideas behind Kafka and how it has reshaped the world of real-time data. We’ll walk through the essentials such as topics, partitions, brokers, replication, producers, consumers, and the overall ecosystem, and compare the pre-streaming world to what Kafka enables today. By the end, you’ll have a clear sense of how Kafka powers modern, scalable, real-time pipelines.

    Bio:
Hi everyone, I am Gokul, an Advisory Solutions Engineer at Confluent. I am based in Chennai and have been working with Kafka for about 4–5 years. Outside of work, I enjoy playing cricket and badminton whenever I get the chance. I am also a big fan of CSK, FC Barcelona, and Messi.

    💡 Speaker :
Ajithkumar Sekar, Senior Software Engineer, Weave communication

    Talk:
Beyond Kafka: Schemas, Streams & Connectors

    Abstract:
This session breaks down the tools that turn Kafka into a full streaming platform. We cover how Kafka handles continuous event flows, how Schema Registry keeps that data structured, how ksqlDB transforms it in real time with SQL, and how Kafka Connect links it all to external systems. You’ll walk away with a clear picture of how these pieces fit together to build fast, reliable, event-driven applications.

    Bio:
I am a software engineer focused on building reliable distributed backend systems and data platforms. Lately, I’ve been working on a data lakehouse solution using Apache Iceberg and creating a voice AI assistant for customer support
