This initiative is by India Vision Institute based in Chennai and Hyderbad. IVI’s goal to make a difference to the lives of a hundred million people in India affected by uncorrected refractive error and costing the country tens of billions of dollars in lost productivity, can only be made possible through the continued cooperation and support from all major Eye Care organisitions, Optometry professional bodies, Corporate Sector, Government and Philanthropists. The All India strategic plan outlined in this site will provide a glimpse of our big vision for India and we look forward to working with you. Over the next decade, IVI will create a strong global foothold for the Indian Vision Industry and assist in the development of the necessary human resources that will enable every Indian to gain access to correct diagnosis and management for uncorrected refractive errors. It is an exciting time for Optometry in India; India Vision Institute (IVI) is delighted to be part of this eye care revolution. IVI envisions making a socially and economically important contribution to superior vision correction and eye disease management for India. IVI aims to support research, education, awareness and technological development, which will take India to a world platform in healthcare, vision correction and eye disease management and blindness prevention.
