Organic Food

Hi This is Giri . I am into Organic farming and poultry. This is a small scale farm activity done at a farm near Akeshya Engineering college, Puzhuthiwakkam Village, Uthiramerur-- Madhuranthakam Road. Google "RKN Farm School " and you will find the exact location.
This meet would be on organic food with a Q & A session to clear doubts regarding organic food and sourcing organic food. Most probably the venue would be the farm site where you can have a whiff of fresh air and walk around the farm. There isn't much agricultural activity but you will find a fairly large poultry farm. I would also like to enrol people who can spare a day in the farm activity and learn more about farming as well as home gardening. This farm is 8kms close to the Vedanthangal Bird Sanctuary . Queries may be sent to this forum and i shall try to reply them every Sunday/Wednesday. Suggestions welcome.

Travel Tips: EMU is is the fastest mode of transport from Chennai to Chengalpattu . Guindy to Chengapattu travel time is just 80 minutes . Town route bus no: 68 and route buses bound to Uthiramerur & Wandawasi ( there will be a prominent display of Nelvoy X road in all town buses)will take you to Nelvoy Kootu Road from where you have to change to reach my farm. From Nelvoy Kootu Road you have buses heading towards Maduranthakam. Alight at Akeshya Engineering College and walk down 800 metres and you will find a gate on the right side with a placard RKN Farm school. This is clearly visible in Google Maps. By auto it is Rs .80 and if you can combine that would cost you less. In case, you have any problem please contact me at 9003532959.
