Summary
Learning Mechanics using Physics Engines
Speaker: Vaishnavi V, Vijay Kumar B
In this talk, we will explore how we used Chipmunk, a 2D physics engine, to simulate various scenarios such as projectile motion and a bouncing ball. We will begin with a hand-written implementation to understand the underlying concepts, and then demonstrate how the same scenarios can be modeled using a physics engine. The objective is to show how school students can leverage physics engines to reinforce their understanding of mechanics through programmable simulations.
Building CHIP-8 Emulator in Python
A Retro Gaming Virtual machine from 1970s
Speaker: Praveen A
In this talk, the audience get an overview on how to make a CHIP-8 emulator using Python. The core concepts such as CPU Instructions Set, Memory managament, Input and graphics rendering are explained. Also, relevant computer architecture concepts are covered. Finally, a game made specifically for this platform is executed.
Lightning Talks
