Black Friday Little Seneca Lake Social Paddle

Thanks to the water temps you must have a wetsuit or dry suit to attend this paddle.

It's Black Friday, that day when lots of crazy people get up and go shopping at 5:00 AM although this year it sounds like you can get an early start Thanksgiving Day at numerous stores. Of course the really crazy people use it as a day to escape the relatives and paddle off some of that Thanksgiving dinner.

Black Friday will find us on the water at 10:00 AM on Little Seneca Lake for a very laid back, easy going social paddle without any particular agenda. We will launch from the boat ramp inside the park on Black Hills Road. Please plan to arrive in plenty of time to have your boat and gear ready to launch by 10:00 AM.

Little Seneca Lake is owned by the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission (WSSC). There is a $5.00 fee to paddle there that is on a honor system and is payable in a lock box at the put in.

The current forecast for Friday is a high in the high 50's under partly sunny skies with winds out of the WSW at 5 MPH which should make it a great day for paddling.

I'd like to be out at least a couple hours but we can decide how long to stay out based on everyone's availability. Pack a leftover turkey sandwich and some cranberry sauce for lunch.

There are a limited number of rental kayaks available for this paddle at a special holiday price of $35.00 including paddle and PFD. Please email Chuck to request one.

Thanks to air temps and wind speeds for Saturday and Sunday this will probably be our only paddle for the weekend unless the forecast changes significantly. I will probably be scheduling a hike for Sunday though.
