Chester County Arts and Culture

This is a Longwood Gardens "Members Only" event but between myself and Zan (who is co-hosting), we have 7 free passes to share for those who are not members.

In the comments, please let us know if you need a pass, have a membership of your own, and (if so) have any additional passes to share if needed.

We will meet at 6pm at the outside front entrance to go inside together. Please be on time. Once inside, we cannot go back outside to let In late arrivals.

Once inside we may explore the gardens together or separately. The concert begins at 7pm at the Orchard stage.

I'll have some green balloons on our chairs up to the performance so we can find eachother. (They'll be taken down when the concert starts).

From Longwood: "Jig Jam, an Irish Bluegrass band, gets the crowd on their feet during their Longwood debut. Get ready for some foot stomping energy on the Orchard stage at 7:00 pm. Afterward, enjoy the Illuminated Fountain Performance Here You Come Again in our Main Fountain Garden at 9:00 pm."

Bring a chair, insect repellent and anything else you might need to be comfortable outside on a summer evening.

This is a road trip, but what a lineup!

If you have PTO to burn or are available on a Monday, come join us. We will be hanging out at the State Fair eating corn dogs and petting sheep before the show. Or something similar.

Tickets start at $58 to $93. We will purchase tickets in the lower range but under cover. If you'd like to sit near us, LMK. We will purchase tickets @ June 16th

Please be aware that all shows including concerts, rodeo and demo derby performances in the M&T Bank Grandstand are held rain or shine. The pit, track, and bleacher/stadium seating areas are not covered. The grandstand and club house seating areas are the only areas that are covered. Only dangerous weather conditions at show time will delay a show or cause it to be cancelled.

Chico's Vibe is the band for the third of four free concerts at this park. Bring a chair, a picnic meal or snack, a beverage. There are also food trucks as early as 5pm that stay until 8pm. I usually don’t get there till 6pm. Wil often gets there earlier to claim our spot and hang balloons.

Please look for the green balloons. We set up across from the stage halfway between the stage and Biddle Street. There’s always plenty of parking within a block or two and this is a free event.

This is a wonderful opportunity to hear Coatesville's own Richard Troxel, a Met Opera tenor, sing a variety of opera and musical classics in support of the Salt Theatre. I've had the pleasure of hearing Richard several times, and he is versatile and polished.
It's only $25 for general admission, which is a steal to hear his amazing voice. (You can also be a "supporter" for $75, which includes a meet-and-greet and post-event dessert.)
The concert will be at the Chester County History Center in High St. in West Chester.
