Let's Go to Brookfield Zoo

For our next meetup, we will go to Brookfield Zoo.

When: Sunday, June 8th, from 11:30-2:30.

Free free to bring kids under 18. The only way to get free tickets from ChiPub is to have at least one child under 18. Two adults go for free with the pass for a family of four.

Riding together on public transit: I will be taking public transit there. The commute time is 26 minutes. If you would like to ride together, please follow these instructions:

Metra: BSNF, departing Union Station.
Train number: #2009
Departs Union Station: 10:33am
Arrives: Hollywood Stop (Zoo): 10:59am
Walk two blocks.
Day pass via Ventra: $7.50
I will be at the train station early. Please do not be late. The next train departs at 11:33am

Driving & Parking:

Brookfield Zoo Chicago is located at First Avenue between Ogden Avenue and 31st Street in Brookfield, Illinois, just 14 miles west of downtown Chicago. There are exits to First Avenue from the Eisenhower Expressway (I-290) and from the Stevenson Expressway (I-55) (See detours above). Signs on First Avenue will direct you to the Zoo’s Main Entrance and Zoo parking—or you can just follow the lion’s roar!
