Join us for a networking, community, and learning session all about WordPress. We want to help foster the WordPress community in Chiang Mai, so if you use WordPress as a developer, designer or in your business, and want to meet others in WordPress you should attend our free meetup. Everyone is welcome.

THIS MONTHS SESSION
As well as covering the latest WordPress news, and having an open Q&A session for anyone with questions about WordPress, this month we have a talk about how to use AI to control your WordPress site.

AI is no longer just about generating text, code or images – AI is starting to action. At this month’s WordPress Chiang Mai meetup, we’ll explore how AI tools can actually manage parts of your WordPress site.

We’ll look at two practical approaches: setting up a local MCP (Model Context Protocol) server to give AI structured control over WordPress, and a simpler tool that connects directly with ChatGPT Agent to perform tasks on your site without any server setup. Whether you’re curious about the tech behind it or just want to see what’s possible right now, this session will show you the first steps in letting AI work on your site’s behalf.

This meetup is aimed at beginners and WordPress enthusiasts of all levels – no deep technical knowledge required. Come along to see live demos, ask questions, and get a glimpse into how AI might change the way you build and manage WordPress sites.

Additionally, we will use the last half hour of the meetup to help anyone get these tools setup on their own laptop (so bring your laptop if that’s something you want to do!).

There has been a request for more time for chat and networking between the group – so we have extended the meetup by half hour before and after to allow for this. We are also introducing a break in the middle of the talk.

10:30 – Doors open / arrive early to mingle and get best seats
11:00 – Talk begins (please be prompt)
12:00 – Quick 5 mins break (refreshments available)
13:00 – Talk ends. Stick around to chat and network (optional)
13:30 – Close

A group of us normally go for lunch afterwards to a restaurant close to the venue, all welcome (pay for your own food and drink).
