A visit to the northern Thai village of Lahu Tribe village, featuring trekking, bamboo rafting, visiting Elephant sanctuary, an escape into peaceful nature retreat after the busy holiday week. Located disguised in the Chiangmai alpine, Lahu village can only be reached by bamboo rafting or on foot.
Lahu village is a quiet little town devoid of electricity and the internet, providing the ideal of the stars watching with a cup of tea while listening to the sound of river the whole night long.

Itineary
*There are no plans to deviate from the plan unless there is an unforeseen situation
Day 1
9.00: Depart from Chiangmai. We drive from CM city to the entrance of the hill tribe.
11.00: There are only two ways to reach this village, by foot or by raft. Start Hiking, 4km crossing over the hill to get to the village.

  • Lunch pack on the way

14.00: Arrive to the village guest house. We are staying at the house near the river with the local hill tribe. Sharing the guest room with a private futon and mosquito net.
Afternoon: Enjoy the village life with all kind of village animal or dipping in the river nearby.
17.30: Dinner with the local hill tribes (Local Thai food or Vegetarian option)
18.00: After that, we will enjoy the rest of the night
Day 2
8.00: Breakfast
09.00: Take the bamboo rafting back.
11.00: Arrive to trailhead by rafting. Visit the elephant sanctuary where the elephant roam freely.
12.30: Lunch at the local place. Then, we will transfer back to return to Chiang Mai (visiting of elephant sanctuary can be before or after lunch depend on time we leave or spend on rafting)
18.00: Back to ChiangMai and End the Trip
