Chicago 50+ Writers In-Person Meetup

Welcome to the Chicago 50+ Writers In-Person Meetup! This group is for writers aged 50 and over who live in or near downtown Chicago (I live in River West) and are willing to meet in person at least 2X a month (more if interest.) Interested in DIVERSITY in every way (race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, religion or not, type of writing you do, published/non published, even age -- would never turn away anyone who wanted to join.) I am looking for a community, so online is not an option (except occasionally, if weather prohibits getting together.) I don't care what you write, whether or not you are published (I am about to be -- first time!) -- a passion for books and writing and a willingness to meet in person is the only prerequisite.
