Cthulhu Dark - The Sentinels

Part of a series of linked, but standalone scenarios for Cthulhu Dark, set in the not too distant future. Returning players and characters are welcome. So are new players!

Emitting at an unknown frequency, the signal bounced and echoed throughout the spectrum until a stray Neptunian ship happened to pick it up out of pure serendipity. Switching from relay to relay through the X-Comm stations, it finally reached Earth’s main orbital stations, fresh for decoding. It could be a glitch, a misinterpretation, or just noise. It could be nothing. But they’ve pinpointed it at VANGUARD: down to the Plutonian orbit, deep below Charon’s underground caves and phreatic ammonia sea, where no one and nothing lives. Down to an impossibility. Could it be…life?
