Continuing on semantics and its contribution to metaphysics, a sub-topic relates to one of the aspects of Kaplan's circumstance of evaluation related to the relation of demonstratives to time, one of the tuples of the content function. Ted Sider's Presentism took academic philosophy by storm on publishing. Its one of the most clear and rigorous analysis of ontological commitment. One of my professors paraphrased the description of ontology as quantification over a wide open domain of discourse. Sider defends an ontology of time, the notion that only things present exist and the problems that ensue when defending it.
