Feed the Hungry @ Downtown Islamic Center - (Volunteer) (The Loop)

meetup for chicago anime hangouts! hope to have conversations about anime, and manga and more. just show up :D just note that this is an event focused around volunteering, and helping people.

Join us every Sunday morning to help make and distribute bagged lunches that include salads, sandwiches, and more to the hungry/homeless throughout Chicago.

We make and package the food in the center, and then distribute it outside in the city, so dress according to the weather.

The Downtown Islamic Center was founded in 1976 as a spiritual haven for Muslims in the Chicago Loop area to connect, worship, and flourish together.

While this is run out of the islamic center there's no religion involved in this. It’s just sponsored by the center.
