Apache Flink Deployment Patterns

Keeping the momentum rolling to finish out the decade of proliferation of Big Data, we are having a meetup to discuss the myriad of options for deploying Apache Flink streaming applications into production.

Each presenter will have 15 minutes to demo and /or discuss the pros and cons of a different deployment pattern.

We'll start off with pizza and networking (presuming we can find sponsor for food?). Doors open at 5:30pm, talks will start at 6pm.

Talks:

Margarita Uk - Senior Analyst, Predictive Analytics, United Airlines
Margarita will present the pros and cons of deploying Flink applications using AWS's Elastic Map Reduce (EMR) service.

Joe Olson - Senior Manager, Big Data Analytics, United Airlines
Joe will present the pros and cons of deploying Flink applications as a AWS managed service using Kinesis Analytics.

Seth Wiesman - Sales Engineering, Ververica
Seth will present the pros and cons of deploying Flink applications using the Ververica Managed Platform.

Trevor Grant - Open Source and AI Evangelist, IBM
Trevor will present the pros and cons of deploying a Flink cluster on Kubernetes, using IBM's cloud service.
