Summer Hike Series 4 - Swallow Cliff Stairs

It's time for the fourth hike of the Summer Hiking Series happening on Sunday June 15th @ 11am

This time the location is in Palos Park, Illinois @ The Swallow Cliff Stairs:

📍11300 LaGrange Rd, Palos Hills, IL 60465

The trail we'll be hiking is called the Yellow trail. Mostly unpaved with hills.

We'll meet at the Pavilion and Cafe area at 11am. Our hike will begin via the Yellow trail entrance.

The plan is to hike the entire Yellow trail, which is an 8 mile long loop. About halfway through the yellow trail we'll take a sit-down break. Here, there will be an opportunity for those only hiking the 5 mile route to hop onto the Brown trail. After our break we will continue the rest of the hike towards McClaughrey Spring Woods.

The end of the trail leads back to the initial meeting point near the Pavilion and Cafe. Then we'll celebrate and take a group photo! 📸

Last time we hiked here we completed the 8 miles quicker than expected! If people are interested in hiking more distance after the initial 8 miles, we can trek up the stairs, walk the brown trail, and back. TBD

Post hike is a mandatory trip to the Push Horse Palos Park ice cream shop! 😋🍦 (Just kidding it's optional)
