October Backpacking Meetup: Trail Stories, Trip Recap & Planning What’s Next
Details
Fall is here, and it’s time to get the community together again! Join us for a casual evening to share trail stories, swap advice, talk about recent adventures, and start planning what’s next.
We’ll kick things off at 7:00 PM with a 20-minute presentation and recap of our recent trip to the Porcupine Mountains, which the group just completed the weekend before this meetup. We’ll share some highlights from the trip, talk about the trails and conditions, and give everyone a chance to see what we got up to in the Porkies.
After the presentation, the rest of the evening is all about commiserating, catching up, and talking backpacking. With winter and snow just around the corner, October is a great time to talk about potential fall trips before the season comes to an end. Whether you’re hoping to squeeze in one more adventure before the snow arrives or are already thinking ahead to next year, come connect with fellow backpackers and find your next trail buddy.
Whether you’re a seasoned backpacker or someone who’s just getting started with wilderness backpacking, this is a great opportunity to meet fellow outdoor enthusiasts. No pressure and no formal agenda after the presentation, just good conversation, drinks, and people who enjoy getting outside.
We’re heading back to Sully’s, a beloved pre-COVID club tradition. For ten years, Sully’s was our go-to spot, and we’re excited to continue bringing the group back together there.
Bring a friend, bring your gear questions, share a favorite trail, talk about your next trip, or just come hang out. We’ve reserved the second floor for the group.
Please RSVP so we can give the venue an accurate headcount. We hope to see you there!
