January Meetup: Dominion by Addie E. Citchens

Our first book selection of 2026 is Dominion by Addie E. Citchens! Our first meeting will be at Hall Branch, Chicago Public Library, the first Chicago Public Library with a African American branch manager.

Book Summary: A Southern family drama about the powerful Winfrey family in the fictional Mississippi Delta town of Dominion, whose seemingly perfect life unravels due to secrets, patriarchy, and the sins of the patriarch, Reverend Sabre Winfrey, and his golden son, Emanuel ("Wonderboy").
