"Don't just show the notes, play the music!" - Hans Rosling, Swedish physician, academic, and master storyteller

Most organizations are aware that developers, data scientists, and analysts are essential to creating a data-driven environment. Fewer grasp how to use data and charts to tell powerful stories that don't only convey the "what", but also the "so what" and the "what next." In other words, most organizations have the notes. Now, they need to learn how to play the music.

This presentation explores how to use data storytelling to build powerful data visualizations, as well as how to use data visualization to build a good story.

After this session you will:
• Understand why telling a story with data matters if you want to succeed in a data-driven world
• Learn how to tell a meaningful and actionable story with data
• Learn how data visualization and data storytelling complement each other
• Understand the importance of accessibility in data visualization and storytelling
