A 10000-foot overview of trade-offs for 'safety by default' and 'zero cost abstractions'. Touching on memory safety, type safety, error handling, and compiler defaults. The talk will contain slide-examples and insights from a hybrid C++/Rust perspective.

About the Presenter

Larry Wu, CTO of Cube Exchange, has built a diverse career at the intersection of traditional finance and blockchain technology. His experience spans low-latency trading systems, on-chain smart contracts across several DeFi and NFT protocols, and 0-to-1 hybrid crypto exchange architecture.
