Posted from the Speleofest website: "The Louisville Grotto is proud to present Speleofest, the caving festival of Kentucky. Held on Memorial Day Weekend, this event is a great chance to camp, cave, hike, or just kick back and enjoy the weekend. Caving is a great place to get out of the heat, as natural underground temperatures are around 58 degrees all year long. Come for a day or the whole weekend. By coming to Speleofest you are helping to support Lonestar Preserve and the local caving community."

This trip is open to first-timers and people who have caved with the grotto before. If you are a first-timer and you plan to go caving, you will need to allow at least several days in order to prepare for this trip. Pre-registration for Speleofest is available online at http://louisville.caves.org/speleoregistration.shtml (http://louisville.caves.org/speleoregistration.shtml.) Pre-reg ends on May 13, but tickets can be purchased upon arrival.

The festival starts early on Wednesday May 24, additional registration fees apply.
