CPG Community Networking Pilot Event

Event Overview

This networking event is designed to facilitate connections between the Chicago professional community and small businesses seeking to increase visibility for new customers and other resources. This event came as a direct request from a handful of CPG clients seeking to build a broader network with young Chicago professionals.

The event will run from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with light snacks and drinks provided. The structure of the evening is designed to encourage conversations, meaningful connections, and future business collaborations.

This event encourages both structured and informal interactions, providing ample opportunity for businesses to pitch and for investors to find investment opportunities.

Timeline (subject to change):

5:00 PM - 5:15 PM | Arrival & Registration
• Guests check in at the registration table, where they receive name tags (color-coded for investors and businesses).
• Attendees can grab light snacks and drinks.
• Music at a low volume to create a relaxed atmosphere.

5:15 PM - 5:30 PM | Welcome Remarks & Event Overview
• Brief introduction of the event’s goals.
• Explanation of the evening’s flow and networking tips. Bring business your cards!

5:30 PM - 6:00 PM | Meet an Entrepreneur
• Attendees make their way around the co-working space to meet and spend time with the entrepreneurs they most want to learn more about and sample products.
• Every 5 minutes, rotate to a new entrepreneur.
• The goal is to learn about brands and find out how you can support as a customer or investor.

6:00 PM - 7:45 PM | Open Networking
• Attendees can refresh drinks, grab snacks, and engage in informal conversations.
• Opportunity to follow up with specific individuals of interest from speed networking round.

7:50 PM - 8:00 PM | Closing Remarks & Final Networking
• Attendees are encouraged to make any last connections, exchange business cards, and discuss follow-up meetings.
• Attendees are invited to join any post-event communication platforms (LinkedIn group, Slack channel, etc.).
