Please join us for our monthly Chicago Data Night, cohosted by Drive Capital, ChiData and the DSI, and this month with special partner, Booth’s Center for Applied AI. Practitioners, academics, and aficionados within the Chicago area are all invited to be part of a community at the intersection of industry and academia, brought together by a mutual interest in data. Each month, guest speakers will cover a specific data-related topic.

Talk: Building AI Tools for the Enterprise
Bio: Kemal Badur, CTO, Information Technology Services, University of Chicago. Kemal serves as Chief Technology Officer at the University of Chicago, overseeing technology infrastructure and strategy for the university's research, educational, and administrative operations across national and international locations. His recent work has focused on AI and machine learning infrastructure development, enterprise AI implementation, and collaborative AI literacy initiatives with faculty and researchers. He brings an interdisciplinary perspective to technology strategy, combining his economics background from Boğaziçi University and the University of Minnesota with extensive experience in research computing, internet technologies and enterprise IT systems.
