Who is the Chicago Developer Network?

CDN is a growing network of designers, developers, product managers, marketers, and copywriters who joined forces to tackle projects too large for any individual freelancer. As a diverse network of freelancers, we can handle almost any project that comes our way. More importantly, we can do it at a lower price point than most Chicago consulting firms. What makes us different?

Where most networks connect one-to-one (one freelancer to one job), we connect many to one (many freelancers to one job). This allows CDN members to accept larger jobs that were previously out of reach and work in a team environment while retaining their autonomy.

Roughly 90% of our freelancers are or have served as senior-level employees at other startups and corporations throughout Chicago, but we are entirely welcome to junior freelancers.

What will we be doing?

Come together and meet other freelancers in your field (and outside it) who are interested in maintaining the flexibility of their remote lifestyle while still working with a team. Have a few drinks, relax, and get to know each other.

We'll discuss the logistics of working with a remote network, how each member sews together their personal networks, and now previously infeasible jobs become reasonable objectives.
