4 Hour Policy (for Cancellations)

4 Hour Policy
Last minute changes can now result in a "no show" as well. If you change your RSVP from "yes" to "no" within 4 hours of the start of an event, you'll be awarded a "strike" as well. Each organizer can change this time frame to more or less hours depending on the event.

The reason for this is that the organizer quite often has to leave their house quite some time before the event starts. 4 hour lead time is quite typical if they have to arrive at the venue early or travel a long way, make stops etc. During that time, they wont have access to their computer. Assume that the Organizer does not own an internet capable hand held device to detect your last minute change.

Each time you are a "no show" the Organizer should be sending you a letter informing you that you were a "no show" for that particular event.

The rule does not apply to events where "maybes" are allowed, attendance isn't taken or non-refundable payments above $1 or $2 (usually event expense fees) are required.

Strikes can be removed via an appeal to the organizer for consideration.
