About us
After too many Google searches, Reddit rabbit holes, and conversations that ended with "I wish there was something like that," I decided to start this group.
This is an in-person meetup group for young adults navigating the loss of a loved one. Whether you want to talk about grief, avoid talking about grief entirely, or simply spend time with people who understand something of what you're carrying, you're welcome here.
We'll gather for low-pressure, accessible activities like walks by the lakefront, coffee or tea hangs, park meetups, and other simple outings. Think less "group therapy" and more "being around people who get it." No icebreakers that make you want to disappear into a bush. No pressure to share. No expectation to have your life figured out.
I'm starting this group in my second year of grieving the loss of my mom. I don't have the answers, and honestly, I'm still trying to figure out what life looks like after loss. Not totally sure what I'm doing, but I know I want to be here.
So if you're looking for connection, understanding, fresh air, caffeine, or all of the above, come join exactly as you are.
