Annual Haitian “Picnic Under the Sun”

Details
On the 4th of July, the Chicago area’s Haitian community will once again have its annual Haitian Picnic Under the Sun in hopes of bringing families together for safe and healthy fun. The picnic held at James Park in north suburban Evanston will have a large variety of Caribbean food, music and featured Haitian dancers.
NOTE: A few things about the event: 1) There should be parking on the streets around the park but you must walk (quite a bit) across the athletic fields to get to the picnic location; 2) We will have two (dark grey) canopies set up and also tables for food. Look for balloons; 3) We will also have lawn chairs, however you are HIGHLY advised to bring your own; 4) This is a potluck style event. While it is not required, we welcome any type of food that you would like to share; 5) As always with any outdoor event be mindful that it might rain so prepare accordingly; and finally 6) If you have any questions, please call or text the picnic organizers: Patrick at (708) 269-6859 or Cece at (312) 498-7135.
