Yosemite camping (dates confirmed!)

Hey everyone,

Let's go to Yosemite!

We'll apply for the daily Half Dome lottery when there and modify the schedule as necessary.

The site is booked and dates confirmed! I got another site that's 1hr out of the valley for people who want to come over the weekend or if more than 6 people sign up.
Please confirm and send Tristan/Jin a deposit ($100) to reserve your spot.

The campsites have drinking water, good toilets, showers, small and expensive restaurants/grocery. We will make a stop in San Francisco or surrounding areas for food and camping gas.

Recommended Plane Tickets:
May 27 ORD to SFO 7:20AM arrive at 10:02AM
June 3 SFO to ORD 1:45PM arrive at 8:01PM
Since we are driving together it's easier if everyone sticks to that time.
SFO to Yosemite is a beautiful 3.5hr scenic drive.

You will need proper hiking gear; some trails do not have gravel and few are paved. There may be snow in some areas. We can do a gear check as required.

-Running shoes
-Bug spray
-Sunscreen
-Trekking poles
-Sun glasses
-Binoculars
-Camel pack
-Lifestraw/Aquatabs/Water purifying tabs

Camping gear:
-Tent (can be shared)
-Camping stove and other cooking equipment (can be shared)
-Sleeping mat
-Sleeping bag
-Pillow (optional)
-Clothes for the weather (82/48F check before you go).

Car rental (TBD): Enterprise/National (mini)Van or SUV rent at Colma (just outside airport) for 6 people with luggage (DM me if you have a Costco membership or can get a better price): $560
Gas: ~$120
Yosemite car fee: $35
Plane tickets (~$200), food, camping gas, etc. you buy on your own.
