What we’re about
Chicago HTML5 shares emerging web technologies through presentations on real world implementations and live tutorials on websites, and application building. We also host roundtables and speaker presentations on various topics such as new web standards, frameworks, process and methodology.
Our aim as a group is to contribute toward building and maintaining a strong community of developers, designers and anyone who works with or is just curious about technology here in Chicago.

I'm stoked to be starting the 2024 CHIHTML5 calendar off with a co-hosted event at the Chicago Javascript Meetup.
Heather and the folks at Bitovi have been doing a fantastic job bring in person meetups to the Chicago tech community. Attending these meetups over the past few months was a huge inspiration to me while I was contemplating starting CHIHTML5 backup.
I will be one of 3 presenters, so this will be a high-level demo running about 20 minutes to introduce a quick start repo that I am building. I will be sharing pointers to docs and resources for getting your own headless project going as well the components and Storyblok blocks I'm creating.

Building Advanced Search UI with VueJS and Storyblok
Join us for a quick start demo of the basic setup to get your VueJS components working with the Storyblok headless CMS, while building a search interface with faceted filtering.Mattie Langenberg will present a quick end-to-end overview of setting up a Storyblok workspace with content schemas for pages and components and will share a boilerplate repo with coding for a functional search page using Storyblok's content API.
