Chicago Weekly Sitting Meditation Group - 8/15 - Holy Trinity, Chicago

WE WILL RESUME OUR START TIME OF 7:15PM AT HOLY TRINITY LUTHERAN CHURCH, 1218 ADDISON, CHICAGO.

Everyone is welcome to join our weekly meditation on Monday evening at 7:15pm. All levels of experience are welcome. It may be helpful in advance to know we will sit for an extended period in silence, so you'll need to be accustomed to that.

THIS MEETING WILL BE LIVE AT HOLY TRINITY LUTHERAN CHURCH, 1218 ADDISON, CHICAGO. ENTER AT THE DOOR ON MAGNOLIA STREET (NOT AT THE FRONT DOOR).

We have permission to park behind Missio Dei Church, 1242 Addison. Access their parking in the alley behind the church where you will see a row of diagonal parking. Park your car and come into Holy Trinity to get a parking permit to display on your dashboard. Neighborhood parking is also available on side streets with a 383 parking pass. Acquire a 383 parking permit at Holy Trinity and return it to your car. 383 parking permits costs are $1.

THIS INVITATION IS EXTENDED TO THOSE WHO HAVE BEEN FULLY VACCINATED (2 SHOTS + BOOSTER) FOR COVID-19. WE WILL USE MASKS WHILE WE ARE INDOORS FOR THE DURATION OF OUR MEDITATION.

We will begin with brief introductions, a sitting session, a standing, walking or qigong meditation, another sit and time for reflection/discussion/social interaction.

A NOTE ABOUT COVID SAFETY: Please make your own choices about how you would like to feel safe. If you do not wish to enjoy a hug or a handshake, there is no judgement; just make that known to those whom you encounter. Each person is responsible first for themselves and then to those whom you will sit with. We will collectively watch the progress of Covid infections as determined by Cook County public health officials to determine the safety of gathering in person.

There is a free will donation of $1 to help cover the cost of room rental.
