Insight Chicago Meditation Community(ICMC) and Chicago Weekly Sitting Meditation Group Host a Half-Day, In-Person Mindfulness Retreat

Join the Chicago Weekly Sitting Meditation Group and Insight Chicago Meditation Community(ICMC) to a half-day, in-person meditation retreat.

A meditation and mindfulness practice helps us cultivate joy and peace in the here and now, even in difficult times. Please join us for a half-day, in-person retreat. There will be periods of sitting meditation, walking meditation, and mindful movement. Much of the retreat will be conducted in Noble Silence.

All are welcome - experienced practitioners and newcomers alike.

Wear loose, comfortable clothing. Bring a cushion and mat if you prefer to sit on the floor. Chairs will be provided. Bring a "brown bag" lunch and a beverage for our "eating meditation" period (lunch). There is a kitchen with a microwave, refrigeration and water to drink.

Location: Holy Trinity Church, 1218 W Addison St. Chicago. Please enter through the side door on Magnolia Avenue. NOTE: Street parking is free until permit parking begins at 6PM. Allow plenty of time to find parking in Lakeview's densely populated neighborhood.

Tickets are by donation. Your contribution will help to defray the cost of rent and other administrative expenses. Please feel free to contribute what you are able. No one will be turned away for lack of funds.
