Chicago ML is planning a new series of workshops on AI Assisted Engineering. This is a parallel track to our traditional machine learning meetings.

This is a planning meeting for anyone who wants to contribute ideas or help organize.

A lot has changed in the field of AI and machine learning over the last couple years! This workshop series is intended to support our community in the use of AI tools for engineering workflow and application development.

- Hands-on, in-person learning and sharing
- Emphasis on theory and evidence rather than folklore
- Explore and develop best practices
- Effective tool use and mastery

We're looking for community members who share a vision of effective and skilled AI use in this rapidly evolving ecosystems. Frontier LLMs have opened the world of AI automation to new practitioners - many of whom struggle to make the best use of state-of-the-art tools and methods. We want to develop a strong practice here in Chicago of scientists and engineers who can get into the details, build understanding, measure carefully, and iterate skillfully.

If you like the sound of this - join us! This is only a sketch - the plan will emerge as we meet and discuss.

Stay tuned for our meeting location. It will be in person in the loop convenient to Metra and CTA.
