Anne is widely recognized as one of the premier voices in contemporary folk music. For many years she has been a familiar presence on the Chicago folk scene, and her expressive voice and thoughtful songs have earned her audiences across the country and around the world.
These days Anne is not traveling as much as she once did, which makes this concert particularly special. In fact, her appearance at Wesley’s Place will be her only Chicago performance until September. Ticket sales are already brisk for the April 24 show.
Anne has a remarkable ability to create an intimate connection with an audience, which makes a listening room like Wesley’s Place a perfect setting for her music. It should be a beautiful evening of songs and stories.
